The gates were opened at 4pm. 4 hours later, the first show started. A brazilian band called Charlie Brown Jr. opened the festival at 8pm, singing for around eighty thousand people. They played for 1 hour or so and it was a great warm up for the main show of the night. The Meet & Greet started when they were playing their fourth song and it lasted until the end of Charlie Brown Jr.’s show.
Linkin Park got on stage at 10pm. The setlist was the same as Projekt Revolution’s setlist. The whole crowd knew the words to most of the songs they played, even the people that didn’t speak English. The only song that the crowd didn’t sing along with Linkin Park was Wish. It seemed like noone in there was familiar with the song. It was the biggest Linkin Park concert ever. The guys probably had no idea on how many fans they have in Brazil.
People waited in front of the venue for days to get a good place in the crowd. It was probably the best show that them eighty thousand people ever saw. The band seemed to like it as much as the crowd did. Chester grabbed a brazilian flag and kissed it and then Mike took it to a very visible place. The crowd went nuts. It was kind of hard to hear the boys as all the crowd sang along, was awesome.
