A Linkin Park fan sits in his room after another hellish day at school. Filled with emotion, and in need of an outlet, he switches on his favorite Linkin Park song and drifts away into a whole separate world, away from the malevolent stares of his classmates, away from the bruises on his arms, and away from all the pain he experiences, and lets the driving guitar rhythms, the soothing vocals, and the pounding drums, flow into him and bring him to a state of absolute peace; this is Meteora.

In Linkin Park’s music, styles collide and blur together to form a new kind of musical greatness that not only represents the feelings of the band members, but truly signifies the overwhelming emotional pain and suffering that teenagers like this one experience every day of their broken lives. The elemental roots of hip-hop that Mike and Joe bring to the table, contrasted yet wholly mixed with the classic hard rock sound of Brad, Phoenix, and Rob, topped off with Chester’s icy and eerie vocals create something everyone can relate to and find within themselves.

I feel the same about the album...the songs are so meaningful and honest...Whenever I listen to it, it feels like I have someone who understands me...
The songs are just amazing
