After a strenuating nine month feud with record label Warner Brothers, Linkin Park have settled their differences and have signed a brand-new record deal with the company. The new deal will give Linkin Park a $15 million advance on the new album, as well as 20% royalties on sales, and more artistic freedom as a group. The new contract holds them to 5 more albums, one more than was left on their existing 10-album contract.
The new Linkin Park disc, produced by Mike Shinoda and a previously announced
mystery co-producer is currently in the recording process, and is scheduled for a mid-2006 release.
