Title: your thoughts on lp's next album
Description: Sonically beautiful

lptyco - February 24, 2005 06:30 PM (GMT)
hey guys i'm just sitting here thinkin
what can we possibly expect from lp 's next album release?
me, personally i think it's gonna be something unbelievably sonic in where all their musical influences collide and will have musical repercussions for ages to come
i just can't wait to see what is in store
this is what lp is all about
you just don't know what to expect
don't you love it?!?!
what are your thoughts?
lp changin course of history

Just_Like_You - February 25, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
I really don't know what to expect either...I have no clue if it's physically possible for them to get any better, so I'm expecting worse, but then again, everyone was surprised with Meteora, so who knows what they've got in store this time. Whatever it is, I'm really excited to hear it! I wish some demos would leak out somehow...

like2drum - February 25, 2005 01:28 AM (GMT)
I bet it might be on the Tsunami in asia, but you never know. Mike said thier going to do somthing totally different but still have the Linkin park vibe, it's somthing that i'm hoping for :)

linkin_lady01 - February 25, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
I'm actually hoping that LP incorporates a lot more rap/hip hop into their music. It's beautiful as is of course but I'd really like to see a lot of the hip hop vibe (cuz everyone knows Mike is a helluva rapper). As far as new goes, I really think the 3rd album is really the best album for all artists and should determine whether or not they should make a 4th or not. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be awesome!

Say - February 25, 2005 05:23 AM (GMT)
I think it will definitely be major, as you've said a third album often defines whether they will continue on with more....
I have no idea what to expect, but whatever it is, I have faith that it will be the best they could do and the best for their fans.

'Cus we're all just so loyal :D :D

like2drum - February 25, 2005 04:43 PM (GMT)
Really, I don't mind waiting for a new album until 2007!::lol:: 'caus i already know what ever Linkin Park has in store, it'll be somthing good! so it's worth the wait. I really think Linkin Park should take time with thier stuff, they should make more song's like "Lying from You" and add a little more of the rap/hip-hop thing and forget about song's like" From the Inside".

Just_Like_You - February 25, 2005 10:34 PM (GMT)
Nah...it might be good, but I don't think there should be so much hip hop/ rap that it drowns out Chester's screaming and singing ^_^ It's all about the hybrid!!! :P

Unit - February 26, 2005 08:19 AM (GMT)
I hope it'll be something new and surprising.. But still that same old Linkin Park  :)

danielkwood - March 7, 2005 06:42 AM (GMT)
 linkin park is awesome and i can't wait for the next album and i hope it's soon! On Meteoar, I think that "From The Inside" sounds great especially with the rap and Chester's voice sounds heaps good. Chester sounds great when he's yelling and screaming but I'd like to hear more songs with his voice when he is not singing so hard. For example, My December - he sounds heaps good in this song. It must really hurt his throat when he pushes it to the limits like that. He has had throat problems and infections and sickness too, especially when they were making Meteora. No matter which way he sings, he still sounds great anyway.

Can't wait til a new LP album is out - i'll pre-order it as soon as i hear of it :D

I don't know what to expect but as long as it is LP it has to be good...I hope they won't change too much and it's always cool to know a band that's playing hard stuff but doesn't cuss in the lyrics!
I'm just confused cuz there's also gonna be a best-of-album I heard of and Mike's solo album.Pretty much at a time huh?

HyBrIdCoLlIsIoN - March 7, 2005 06:16 PM (GMT)
i havent heard of the best of album, plus most bands make a best of album when they are goin downhill, or if they are going to break-up, pr if they have tons of cd's and want to realease a cd of all their greatest hits. Which i dont think LP is going downhill, or going to break up, and they dont have enough cd's to release a greatest hits album.

I am pumped about the Mike Shinoda solo project though!

like2drum - March 9, 2005 12:38 PM (GMT)
I don't think I really like the new solo album that Mike's coming out with, but I'll just have to wait and see :D

Just_Like_You - March 9, 2005 03:59 PM (GMT)
Why not?
I say, the more releases the better, cuz we just know anything by Linkin Park, or even just seperate member will be good, cuz they're the best, and I doubt it would really affect the making of a new LP album in a negative way.

griffyn - March 14, 2005 05:19 AM (GMT)
yeah, i;m not sure what there next albums gonna be. the LP.vs. JZ mashup was awesome, but i can't wait for the next real album.
meteora was amazing. i'm guessing something of the same value in its own way. LP are truly artists, but musically and visually. they can make something visually go with music thats totally different. like meteora. meteora is a rock formation in greece. but the way LP describes their music in comparison, it totally fits.
i'd expect the unexpected.

griffyn - March 15, 2005 04:21 AM (GMT)
i'd hate to compare linkin park to no doubt, but gwen stefani is actually doing quite well on her solo album. i thik that the idea of LP breaking up will come up, but no doubt isn't planning on breaing up. and LP is doing way to well, and they are WAY too close to break up.
LP is full of talents, and it's great that mike is showing some individuality. they would all do great alone (except like, the ones who have to play in a group eg: drummer, guitar) and thats what makes them so good together. when you put a bunch of talented "angry white guys" *as chester puts it* together they can do great things. we've all witnessed.

master_hakkai - April 6, 2005 05:52 AM (GMT)
i hope the new album has a mix ov meteora n hybrid theory[same style]

lp-chevelle-hybrid - April 12, 2005 09:27 PM (GMT)
IF U NOTICE...THEY ET MORE AND MORE POSITIVE ON EACH ALBUM...I HOPE THEY STILL HAVE THAT AGRESSIVE, RAW,ANGRY EDGE THAT THEY HAD ON HT ON THE NEW ALBUM...THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!!!

Jordanbyers123 - April 13, 2005 11:13 PM (GMT)
But LP were recored saying that the next album was gonna be more towards the "breaking the habit" side of there music, so weres the hip-hop skills of mike gonna fit in? mike makes the band who they are today, hes the back bone of the band

lptyco - April 14, 2005 04:41 PM (GMT)
Mike said that they'll go in that direction (breakin the habit) creatively but they'll still have that signature lp sound

Jordanbyers123 - April 15, 2005 04:11 PM (GMT)
after futher research i stand corrected!!!! smartass :P

lptyco - April 15, 2005 05:09 PM (GMT)

Since i started listing lp my taste of music has changed
on my journey of becomming a fan my taste has also experienced change
perhaps this is what lp stands 4
2 me; lp brings about a downfall 2 old meaningless structures
and when those building falls they bring about change n the music loving hearts
and I don't think it is going 2 change

lptyco - June 9, 2005 05:08 PM (GMT)
It's all about musical barriers and lp brings them all down... that's why there are a lot of haters out there cause they don't like change
and that's what lp are all about
people see that and right away they go wit what's safe
but they are not bein true to themselves (musically)
that's why i adore all lp fans cause they know that change is good and that bein stagnent in the musical business only takes you so far

meteorarocker411 - June 9, 2005 05:38 PM (GMT)
I think their next album will be good. Awhile back Mike said that they had been working on it and with the ideas that were going on that we fans will not be disappointed. I'm holding him to that.

LPfaith - June 9, 2005 11:58 PM (GMT)
Throughout the album they are getting to the stage where they are singing about more harsh matters that teens are going through,i think the next album will surely be marvoulous

prix - June 10, 2005 07:12 PM (GMT)
quite nice...but they have spoilt in the end this time by remixin it....................

meteorarocker411 - June 11, 2005 12:15 AM (GMT)
Just because they remixed In The End doesn't mean that it's suddenly bad. If the redone version is so terrible then don't listen to it.

I like the remixed version of Points of Authority better than the original. By Myself too :D

Damn right! And Buy Myself is better than By_myslf and By Myself put together

Back to topic:
Are we talking about LP's new album or Fort Minor?

[LP] In The End - June 11, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
^Linkin Park's new album :) You really like Buy Myself :D
Anyway, I can't wait for their new album!:D I've put my trust in them, :) and believe that whatever they do for the new album I'm going to like it. I love Chaz and Mike's voices and Chaz's screaming... and the lyrics. It's going to rock  :D
